There's a lot of confusing information out there about makeup. With the right guidance, techniques and colors, every woman can become her own best makeup artist!
A little well placed eyeliner — either hidden in your lashline to look natural or drawn dramatically along your lid — can draw attention to your eyes. Foundation can be applied to cover naturally or create flawless looking skin (your choice). Either way, it should feel light, protect your skin and create a look that is bright and smooth. Lipstick is like magic! The right color can make your eye color pop and add a glow to your face – this doesn't mean the color has to be bright, just right for your skintone and eyes!
All of this can be learned in a makeup consultation. I will teach you to be your own best makeup artist! Learn to apply makeup that enhances your look and suits your lifestyle — whether you wear a little or a lot, this is a great opportunity to explore new looks and refine your technique. You'll discover that makeup application does not have to be time-consuming or difficult to get the results you want.
One of the best things about this consultation is that we can do as little or as much as you'd like to in the original consultation. Once you have a "become your own makeup artist" consultation with me, you are entitled to unlimited makeup refresher appointments at no charge. You can come back a week, a month, 6 months, a year, seasonally (whatever you like) and we'll go over the techniques you learned to answer questions, refine your application, or simply take you to the next step and add something we didn't do the first time. Or, many clients return once or twice a year to add new colors or see what's new in the world of makeup. Either way, there's no charge.
How to Prepare for Your
"Become Your Own Makeup Artist" Consultation
I encourage you to bring whatever makeup you are currently using. This will give us an opportunity to go through what you have, see what you like and use regularly, what you don't, what works for you and what doesn't. You are invited to come wearing the makeup you usually wear or with a clean face — whichever you'd like.
Your "Become Your Own Makeup Artist" Consultation takes about 1-1/2 to 2 hours ($130 which includes free future makeup refresher appointments)
Two-for-One "Become Your Own Makeup Artist" Consultation
The "Become Your Own Makeup Artist" consultation is the perfect consultation to share with a friend, sister, daughter, mother… It includes all of the above only and costs each of you $65 (you split the $130 consultation fee when you come together). Please allow 3 hours for the consultation.
Special Needs Makeup
Although I certainly wish there were not such a need for this service, I offer makeup instruction for women with cancer, alopecia and burn survivors. My approach is sensitive, practical and highly hands-on so you begin to feel comfortable with the application yourself (which is obviously critical if you're going to be doing this on your own at home!). Every woman is entitled to feel beautiful. Sometimes a touch of makeup here or there makes all the difference, especially when dealing with cancer, alopecia and scarring. The consultation is the same, the focus is just slightly different to meet your needs.
